Job Summary:

Norse Group is seeking a highly skilled Architectural Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects by undertaking a range of architectural duties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications, and undertake surveys and prepare records of existing buildings and sites.
  • Carry out administrative tasks relevant to the production of architectural information, such as reprographics and filing.
  • Undertake allocated tasks competently and professionally within determined timescales, financial budgets, and fee/cost targets.
  • Prepare clear and accurate contract documentation.
  • Adhere to agreed practice procedures, technical standards, and standing orders.
  • Liaise in a clear, positive, and effective manner with colleagues and clients.
  • Promote client relationships to develop the client base.
  • Deal with client queries and resolve resolutions with minimal direction.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
  • Travel to other offices and sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar or related role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with relevant construction, health, and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
  • Completion of RIBA part 1 and part 2, and working towards part 3.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an architectural-related discipline.
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
  • Revit/BIM desirable.
  • Professional membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects desirable.
