About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Linden Lodge School, a leading provider of education for children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties and sensory impairment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as part of our integrated, multi-disciplinary therapy team, providing specialist occupational therapy provision to support the needs of our children and young people. This will involve assessing, diagnosing, and implementing appropriate management plans for children with a wide range of occupational performance difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver hands-on occupational therapy services to children and young people, ensuring a high standard of assessment, treatment, and advice.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and families/carers to implement occupational therapy strategies and approaches.
  • Assess for and prescribe specialist equipment to support occupational engagement and participation.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
Person Specification

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with:

Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.Negotiation and problem-solving skills.Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.Excellent organisational, prioritisation, analytical, and reflection skills.Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including those with sensory impairment and physical disabilities.Knowledge of evidence-based upper limb management and safe manual handling techniques.Registration with the Health Care Professions Council and membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.What We Offer
