Role Summary:
As a Senior Electrical Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Contract Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the successful execution of electrical service installations, ensuring that all personnel involved meet the required service level agreements (SLAs) and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
The main duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing daily project operations, ensuring compliance with client specifications, safety protocols, quality standards, and supplier performance.
  • Managing commercial aspects and providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and quality across all operational activities.
  • Leading and mentoring M&E field supervisors assigned to the project.
  • Conducting thorough investigations of any incidents, quality issues, or service failures, and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Identifying potential risks to budget and project delivery in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with suppliers to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Supervising staff, managing work schedules, and delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Ensuring high-quality service delivery that meets performance standards and contractual KPIs.
  • Conducting regular performance audits to uphold service excellence.
  • Providing timely and accurate reports to the Contract Manager regarding project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Reviewing client designs and participating in site assessments.
  • Assuming overall responsibility for site operations, methodologies, and timelines.
  • Adhering to safety and performance benchmarks.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Upholding a professional image of the department by following company policies and standards.
  • Addressing nonconformance reports and ensuring resolution of identified issues.
  • Working within the company's values and operational guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.

Relationship Management:
To excel in this position, the Senior Electrical Operations Manager must:
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, suppliers, and management.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with all departments.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and monitoring skills.
  • Experience with NEC 34 contracts.
  • Background in healthcare project delivery from an electrical services perspective.
  • Relevant Building Services qualifications (ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering).
  • Proven track record in program management.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems relevant to project installations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • High numeracy skills.
  • Educational qualifications equivalent to GCSE level B+ in Mathematics and English.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage expectations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in work approach.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check due to client site access requirements.
  • A valid UK Driving License with a clean record.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electrical engineering certification.
  • Building Services qualification (HNC preferred).
  • APM certification.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
