Job Title: Assessment and Guidance Team Assistant
Job Summary:
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Assessment and Guidance Team as a Team Assistant. This is a pivotal role that requires strong communication, administrative skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming enquiry calls and provide relevant guidance and advice on how to make a complaint and information on the role of the SPSO.
- Set up new complaints on SPSO's complaint handling system.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to complainants.
- Work closely with the Assessment and Guidance Team to raise awareness, knowledge, and understanding of our organisation with members of the public and providers of public services.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience of working in a frontline, customer-facing role, ideally with complaints handling.
- Good knowledge and experience of a customer services environment, ideally within a public service organisation under the Ombudsman's jurisdiction.
- Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and experience of a range of IT applications.
