Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at TPF Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional bookkeeping services to a diverse range of clients across Kent and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and Financial Management: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and trial balances, for a variety of clients.
- Client Support: Provide expert guidance and support to clients on financial matters, including management accounts, VAT returns, and other financial services.
- Cloud Software Setup and Training: Set up clients on cloud-based accounting software (Xero) and provide training on its use.
- Return Preparation: Prepare and submit CIS returns and VAT returns on behalf of clients.
- Payroll Support: Assist with ad-hoc payroll work, although this is not an essential requirement.
Requirements
- Qualifications and Experience: You may be AAT studying or qualified, or studying towards the ACCA. You will have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accountancy practice bookkeeping or be a self-employed bookkeeper seeking a permanent position.
- Skills and Knowledge: You will possess excellent bookkeeping skills, including knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
