Cost Clerk Team Leader

About The RoleWe are looking for a Cost Clerk Team Leader to be part of our Commercial team in the UK.
**What will you be doing?**
Providing support to the Commercial Management team, supervision & working within a team of 5 Commercial Cost Clerks, with ownership of a portfolio of Subcontractors. The key responsibility of this role is to ensure that the Cost Clerks Subcontract account summaries are produced in line with agreed terms, and payments made accordingly.
- This role fits within Morrison Telecom Services Commercial team and will work collaboratively with the Operations and Finance departments.
**What **will your key responsibilities be?**
- Managing team’s priorities, holiday cover and ad-hoc queries,
- Escalation for any Subcontractor queries regarding payments and redirecting them to correct department.
- Coordinate with cost clerks to ensure payments are produced & sent as per subcontractor’s contractual requirement & head office deadlines.
- Managing of offline recharges have been applied, reconciliation and reporting to finance.
- Management of subbies accounts balance - retention control for inactive subcontractors.
- Processing Final Account payments and updating final account tracker.
- Updating the Cost Clerks guide and supporting process improvements. Instrumental in system improvements/projects.
- Training of the new members and development of the team and regular one to ones.
**What competencies are we looking for?**
- Needs to be able to communicate with Subcontractors and internally across Telecom Division inc. Operations, Commercial and Finance managers, and directors on regular basis.
- Will be required to supervise & work as a team but also manage their own Sub-Contractor accounts.
- Able to adapt to Ad-hoc tasks when they arise, multi-tasking.
- Strong Excel Skills are essential for this role.
