We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Financial Administrator to join our finance team. This is a full-time position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

The finance department is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations. This role involves a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to invoicing, self-billing, management of purchase ledgers, and processing bank transactions.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of comprehensive finance processing procedures and best practices, demonstrating the ability to navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Credit Control, and Management Accounts teams to ensure flawless execution of financial processes.
  • Handle the processing of sales and purchase invoices, prepare payments to suppliers, conduct bank reconciliations, and secure purchase order numbers from clients promptly.
  • Proactively identify and communicate any issues or concerns to stakeholders within established service level agreements.
  • Ensure that supplier payments are executed according to agreed terms and schedules.
  • Manage supplier payments to avoid premature disbursements, thereby safeguarding company cash flow.
  • Oversee supplier cost coding and ledger management efficiently.
  • Ensure proper handling of stock item invoices and accurate cost allocations.
  • Facilitate self-billing for partners in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Guarantee timely and precise customer invoicing, obtaining purchase order numbers as necessary.
  • Maintain financial controls, including the review of requests for customer credit notes.
  • Foster supplier relationships to optimize working capital.
  • Uphold banking controls with meticulous documentation for secondary approvals.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and transaction reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial ledger software (such as Sage or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Possession of a full, clean driving license.
  • Exhibits critical thinking and effective presentation skills.
