Rail Equipment Engineer - Managed Service Lighting

Speedy Hire Plc is seeking an experienced Rail Equipment Engineer to join our Managed Service Lighting division in Erith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily preventative and breakdown maintenance activities on rail tool equipment and lighting.
  • Ensure service schedules are up to date and repair faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire.
  • Work additional hours for breakdowns and time-sensitive project work.
  • Maintenance often needs to be carried out overnight, so you will be expected to work nights, with shift payments included.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to use tools effectively.
  • Lighting management experience.
  • Lighting and power product knowledge.
  • Personal Track Safety certification.
  • ICI and BTA rail permits.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • A full valid driving licence.
  • A basic understanding of Health & Safety, relevant to the role.
  • A commitment to learn and develop.
  • The ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
