Rail Equipment Engineer - Managed Service Lighting

Speedy Hire is the UK's leading hire provider, offering a wide range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant, and support services. We are seeking an experienced Rail Equipment Engineer to join our Managed Service Lighting division in Erith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily preventative and breakdown maintenance activities on rail tool equipment and lighting.
  • Ensure service schedules are up to date and repair faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire.
  • Work additional hours for breakdowns and time-sensitive project work, including overnight shifts.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to use tools effectively.
  • Personal Track Safety, ICI, and BTA rail permits.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • A full valid driving licence.
