Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will have a passion for education and training, and a sound understanding of community or hospital pharmacy and primary care.

Main Duties
  • Develop and manage project plans, progress and report risk and issue management through the central PMO
  • Liaise with appropriate functions across national and regional programmes
  • Liaise with appropriate functions across regional and national portfolios
  • Design and implement appropriate teaching, and learning to support trainees and their educational supervisors
  • Be an active member of the Trainee Team contributing to the design and development of the pharmacy education programme
  • Support the business planning processes to provide input into the strategic development of the work of the department
  • Identify and support pharmacy trainees requiring additional support
  • Contribute to the availability of high quality training and support for Pharmacy Practice And Educational Supervisors
  • Support equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives in pharmacy education

Person Specification

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services or BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent or master's in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Desirable

  • Knowledge of healthcare education management or commissioning, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Agile, Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project or equivalent experience
