The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at GAME. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, including training and coaching the team, managing store operations, and driving sales and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations:

  • Assist with all store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and visual merchandising.
  • Support the Store Manager in planning and implementing store layouts and displays.
  • Ensure that all store operations are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

2. Sales:

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and driving sales growth.
  • Support the team in providing excellent customer service and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

3. Development:

  • Assist the Store Manager in identifying and developing talent within the team.
  • Support the team in achieving their personal and professional development goals.
  • Ensure that all team members are aware of and are adhering to company policies and procedures.

4. Leadership and Management:

  • Assist the Store Manager in leading and managing the store team, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Support the team in achieving their goals and objectives, and ensure that they have the necessary resources and support to do so.
  • Ensure that all team members are aware of and are adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
