Rotational Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialist assessment and treatment to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment and treatment to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties in inpatient and community settings.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including Speech and Language Therapy assistants and students.
- Participate in service developments and contribute to the improvement of clinical pathways.
- Recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
- Health & Care Professions Council - Licence to Practice.
- At least 1 year's experience of working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent analytical and reflection skills, with the ability to prioritize workload demands and work independently.
- Comprehensive IT skills and ability to adapt communication level to the needs of the listener.
