Job Description

Job Title: Automation Test Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our testing team, you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and executing automated tests, as well as managing and maintaining our test automation framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated tests using tools such as Java, Cucumber, Selenium, and Q-flow
  • Manage and maintain the test automation framework to ensure it is functional and fit-for-purpose
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that automation tests are developed aligned to user stories and the appropriate test approach
  • Research emerging trends and technologies in the test automation field to facilitate continuous improvement in the discipline
  • Provide clear, concise reporting for test automation progress, results, and coverage
  • Coach and mentor other test professionals in the area of test automation
  • Seek opportunities to utilize test automation more effectively to maximize its value

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of BDD, TDD, automation tool sets, and different test processes and methodologies
  • Experience in automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and Protractor, as well as continuous integration tools like Jenkins and GitHub
  • Experience in coaching/training and mentoring junior members of automation teams
  • Previous automation team leadership, coaching, or people management experience is desirable
