About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our Acute Medical Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our emergency department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rotate between coordinator roles in the Acute Medical Unit, Ambulatory Care, and GP liaison
  • Provide nursing leadership and manage patient activity and staffing within the clinical area
  • Assist acute medical consultants in managing short stay patients and ensuring timely flow through the unit
  • Liaise with primary care to plan admissions and explore admission avoidance routes
  • Support nursing and junior medical staff in delivering high-quality patient care
Person Specification

We are looking for a registered nurse with significant experience in acute settings, particularly in orthopaedics, surgical, or medical nursing. You should have a diploma or degree and experience in managing a team, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
