About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager - Contracts to join our team at Sheffield City Council. As a key member of our Contract Management Team, you will be responsible for the effective management of our school facilities contracts, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of our school facilities contracts, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our facilities management services.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including schools and other council departments, to ensure that our facilities management services meet their needs.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers, ensuring that they deliver high-quality services to our customers.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of our facilities management services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a local authority or education setting.
  • Strong contract management skills, including the ability to negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement improvements to our facilities management services.
