The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at The Dunbar, our private members' lounge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the private members' lounge, ensuring all areas are ready for service and cleaned down and secure at the end of each shift.
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Upsell and suggest additional items and new offerings to enhance the guest experience.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, including teas, coffees, smoothies, and toasties.
  • Check membership cards and process payments accurately.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure consistent and high-quality products.
  • Ensure tables are cleared and cleaned regularly.
  • Stay updated on current food and drink trends and new menu items.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a barista or team member in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a private members' club is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service.
