Advanced Clinical Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our well-structured team due to the growth of our service and an enhanced model of care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and build an urgent care portfolio.
About the RoleThe Advanced Clinical Practitioner will assess, diagnose, and plan care for patients, including prescribing medications where clinically indicated. They will manage acute presentations to the Walk-In Centre as part of a team of autonomous practitioners and use their clinical knowledge and skills to determine urgency and best pathway for patients presenting to the Walk-in Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Face-to-face consultations with patients
- Undertake urgent primary care and refer elsewhere when applicable
- Provide patient-focused, evidence-based practice to a high standard
- Support the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients are seen by the right person
- Up to £65,000 per annum FTE + unsociable hours
- NHS Pension - 20.6% employer contribution
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, which rises with length of service (pro rata for part-time)
- Extra days leave for work anniversary each year
- Up to 5 days per year Special and Significant Event Leave
- Unsocial hours payment at 30%, Monday to Friday after 6pm and all-day Saturday and Sunday
- NMC/HCPC fees paid annually

- First-Level registered Nurse (NMC), HCPC professional/Pharmacist
- MSc or equivalent in Advanced practice
- Advanced Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills - Level 7
- Minor Illness - Level 7
- A Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Minimum 3-year experience post-level 7 qualifications in primary/urgent post-qualification
- Paediatric Course - Level 7 (desirable)
- Ability to see and treat patients with varying conditions
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
- Excellent organisational skills
