Role Overview

As the Assistant Manager - Outsourcing, you'll be a key player in our client's team, supporting the Outsourcing Manager, Client Managers, and Directors. You'll dive into the world of accounting and outsourcing, working to provide exceptional services to our diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts, providing insightful analysis.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud-based software, supporting clients and colleagues alike.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, ensuring our team's expertise remains cutting-edge.
  • Mentor and support the development of Trainees in our outsourcing team, fostering growth and excellence.
  • Assist the Outsourcing Manager in team development and the appraisal process, shaping the team's future.
Required Experience and Skills
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles.
  • Previous experience in a practice environment, showcasing your ability to thrive in a dynamic setting.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant practice accounting experience, highlighting your expertise and dedication.
  • Desirable: Experience in supervising staff, demonstrating your leadership potential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting Software Packages, showcasing your technical skills.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Digita Suite, SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero, Virtual Cabinet, Dext, highlighting your adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and strong communication skills, ensuring seamless collaboration and client satisfaction.
  • Juggling conflicting priorities with ease, handling multiple tasks and deadlines with poise.
