Care Home Chef Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Care Home Chef to join our team at Go To Outsourcing. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for 30+ people in one sitting.
- Cook from fresh produce and English-style dishes.
- Work from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, including 8-10 hour shifts.
- Have experience working in a catering environment and be comfortable with IDDSI training.
- Be able to work with 1 or 2 kitchen assistants (KA's) and bake cakes and pastries.
Requirements:
- 12+ months experience as a head chef.
- Chef certifications or years of experience cooking English-based food and running a kitchen.
- Right to work in the UK and 12 months experience in a care setting.
- Enhanced DBS (one can be applied for).
- Ability to work 20-30+ hours per week.
Working Conditions:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
