About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Stroke Specialist Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality specialist assessment and rehabilitation to adults with communication and swallowing disorders following stroke.
Main Responsibilities
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team on the acute stroke unit and may also deliver care within the community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation to adults with communication and swallowing disorders following stroke
- Working within a strong multidisciplinary team on the acute stroke unit
- Delivering care within the community
- Coordinating and providing student SLT placements

Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
- Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
- Experience of working with patients with communication difficulties and dysphagia
- Experience of delivering education and training packages
- Experience of supervising undergraduate Speech and Language Therapists and more junior therapists
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and inter-agency working
