About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and managing adults with a range of acquired communication disorders, including dysphagia.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide Speech and Language Therapy assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment for adults with acquired communication disorders across acute wards and stroke services.
  • Develop skills in assessing and managing dysphagia, including videofluoroscopy under supervision.
  • Work with stroke patients in acute, outpatient, and community settings, including their own homes and residential/nursing homes.
  • Ensure a multi-professional approach is carried out in the implementation of patient care across acute wards and all stroke services.

Person Specification

  • Essential qualifications include a recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy and current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Experience of working with adults with a range of acquired communication difficulties and evidence of effective working in a multidisciplinary team.
