Job Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at The Shores, a home from home for six adults with complex needs. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to live their best lives, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents with daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in activities, such as bowling, shopping, walks on the beach, swimming, cinema trips, and visits to families.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to Priory Group's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
