Position Overview

The Lead Security Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the security and privacy compliance initiatives within the organization. This role is integral to ensuring that the company adheres to established security standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage security and privacy compliance processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with security protocols and privacy regulations.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support compliance with security audit requirements.
  • Lead meetings and discussions with stakeholders to address security risks and compliance issues.
  • Evaluate security risks and implement controls to mitigate potential threats to the organization’s information.
  • Support the privacy program by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including data protection laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science or information technology.
  • Experience with ISO standards, particularly ISO 27001/27002.
  • Familiarity with privacy frameworks and regulations, including GDPR.
  • Proven experience in information security or privacy roles, particularly in environments handling sensitive data.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security technologies and practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Essential Duties

  • Oversee the implementation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Manage accreditation processes related to security frameworks and ensure compliance with national standards.
  • Develop and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of the information security program.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk treatment plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that security policies and procedures are effectively documented and implemented.
  • Facilitate meetings with leadership to discuss security and privacy compliance matters.
  • Review third-party agreements to ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements.
