Marketing Content Officer Role

Join our team at Royal Mile Whiskies, a leading whisky specialist retailer and wholesaler, as a Marketing Content Officer. This temporary, full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting our strategic aims of making the whisky, wine, and spirits market more accessible to all while sharing our passion and knowledge with global audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Marketing team in planning, developing, and executing marketing initiatives.
  • Execute day-to-day marketing activities, including social media posting, community management, and responding to customer enquiries across social platforms.
  • Write and edit content for various forms of communication and channels (email, social media, website, print) that is engaging, consistent, and supports individual marketing campaigns, objectives, and activities.
  • Assist in the execution of promotional campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery and proper coordination across digital channels.
  • Collect performance metrics and prepare periodic reports to measure progress.
  • Carry out research for team projects and support other marketing activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Excellent copywriting and research skills, attention to detail, good communication, and organisation are crucial.
  • A keen interest in the world of whisky, wine, and spirits with a desire to learn more about the industry is key.
  • Researching, planning, creating, delivering, and monitoring content.
  • Crafting engaging content and copy for a variety of audiences through different channels.
  • Creating content for a variety of platforms, including social media, website, email, news/blog, and printed publications.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • WSET Level 2 Qualification (or higher) – and/or clearly relevant and equivalent experience/knowledge in the wine/spirits industry.
  • Desirable experience using project management software (particularly Asana, or also Trello, Monday).

  • Our office hours are 08:45 to 17:15, Monday to Friday. Some additional evening and weekend work may be required to meet ad hoc events and deadlines.
