Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Support Specialist to join our Technology Practice at emagine Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and solving all electronic trading product-related issues, in coordination with the trading teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive monitoring of all ETrading connections and workflows, ensuring seamless execution of critical Start-of-day and End-of-day checks and procedures.
  • Providing real-time technical support to traders and clients, collaborating with Front and Middle Office colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Identifying and diagnosing technical issues, taking clear remedial action as necessary, and ensuring all issues and changes are accurately logged and tracked to completion.
  • Participating in the team to continually question the validity of key processes, functions, and workflows, sharing knowledge, insights, best practices, and ideas to ensure greater efficiencies and encourage personal development.
  • Reviewing and updating key procedural documentation, including FIX and API specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assisting in the production of key management information and coordinating connectivity conformance tests and functional certifications.
  • Maintaining technical contact information of all key clients and third-party vendors, taking ownership of client on-boarding and vendor take-on and implementation processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge across fixed income, commodities, or equities, with experience in managing projects and relationships across Front Office and 2nd line control functions.
  • Experience in an IT Support/Networking role within Trading/Financial Services, with technical experience working with Linux/Unix and knowledge of FIX protocol messaging.
  • Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career within Financial Services/Technology, with a keen eye for attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills, with the ability to understand business users and translate to IT in technical detail.
