Role Overview

The Family Support Specialist serves as a crucial resource for caregivers, providing essential guidance through proactive and early intervention methods. In this role, you will empower families by imparting the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to navigate the complexities of parenting. Utilizing a combination of group workshops, tailored support, and outreach programs, you will ensure that every family receives the assistance they require. From expectant parents to those with older children, you will cultivate inclusive and culturally aware environments where all families feel respected and supported. Your commitment goes beyond mere assistance; you will carefully track progress, collaborate on referrals, and actively promote services to both families and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver impactful parenting programs tailored to families with young children.
- Provide both group and individual support, including home visits when necessary.
- Navigate the challenges of parenthood with sensitivity and understanding.
- Build partnerships and advocate for services to ensure community needs are met.
- Maintain adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate flexibility by meeting families' diverse needs, including working outside of standard hours.
- Foster growth and development within the parenting support services.
