About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to work with our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to children and adolescents with mental health needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry, with excellent clinical skills and a passion for delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality care and effective management of patient cases.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring best practice in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Participate in education and training programs, sharing expertise and knowledge with junior staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in research and audit activities, contributing to the advancement of child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Eligibility for Specialist Register in Psychiatry with the General Medical Council.
- Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician approval or ability to obtain approval before starting post.
- Excellent clinical skills, with a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of clinical governance principles and practices, with experience of contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
