Job Title: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in education and training of junior medical staff.
  • Engage in research and audit activities to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance principles and practices.
