We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Patient Flow Manager to become a vital part of our organization.

This role is essential in facilitating communication between healthcare facilities and our operational teams. As a Patient Flow Manager, you will be integrated within our central coordination hubs, actively participating in site and bed meetings to assess the demands on the healthcare system.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for escalations related to bed shortages, patient inquiries, and risk assessments.
  • Serving as the liaison between bed managers and EMED managers to ensure smooth patient transitions.
  • Providing support to optimize patient flow within the hospital environment.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintaining an on-site presence to enhance collaboration with the Trust.
  • Participating in meetings as required.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with hospital wards and discharge units.
  • Collaborating with planning teams to forecast patient activity and demand.
  • Assisting operational managers with daily challenges.
  • Addressing patient inquiries promptly.
  • Familiarizing yourself with EMED policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required:

  • A strong commitment to patient care.
  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Non-Emergency Patient Transport services.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize your workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Decision-making capabilities based on impact assessments.
  • Proficiency in building relationships with key stakeholders.
