Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gi Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for carrying out internal and external site maintenance and small building repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the building is kept safe and well-maintained.
  • Perform gas and plumbing repairs and servicing to ensure the building's systems are functioning properly.
  • Assist with the supervision of contractors and ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Manage company fixtures and fittings and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Carry out small project support and DIY repairs to ensure that the building is maintained to a high standard.
  • Book in and out of spares to ensure that all necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • F Gas and Level 2 city and guilds / Level 3 preferred.
  • Effective communication skills to work with colleagues and contractors.
  • PC Literate including MS Office to manage administrative tasks.
  • Plumbing skills to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • 1 or more years' experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Basic DIY skills to carry out small project support and DIY repairs.
