About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned fire safety professional to lead our fire consultancy service offering for a leading property consultancy. Our client is a renowned asset management and development advisory firm, serving institutional investors, developers, and landed estates.

They provide strategic advice to help their clients maximize market opportunities, meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets, and comply with regulatory demands through health and safety and fire safety. With a network of offices throughout the UK, they are a progressive practice that has nurtured many of their partners from graduate level.

Through client and market alignment, they aim to grow their capability in fire safety consultancy, enhancing their advisory role to top-tier clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to understand their business demands and portfolio needs.
  • Develop fire safety strategies for buildings, ensuring both passive and active plans are implemented.
  • Oversee all aspects of fire safety for their portfolio of clients and projects.
  • Instruct, oversee, and disseminate fire risk assessments, providing concise direction to stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
  • Develop new and existing business relationships.
  • Manage, recruit, and train fire engineers and consultants to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Manage the profit and loss (P&L) for the service, reporting to the partnership on delivery and growth plans.

About You:

  • You will be a Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS or FRICS).
  • You will hold a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety and Science.
  • You will have a degree in building surveying, building control, or real estate.
  • You will have a demonstrable track record of working within fire safety and advisory.
