Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Assessor to enhance our team and guide aspiring professionals in the engineering sector. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting students throughout their apprenticeship experience, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers.

  • Conduct site visits to assess apprentices in their work environments and engage with employers, mentors, and academic staff to facilitate timely training completion.
  • Supervise and mentor a group of assessors, taking on responsibilities such as performance evaluations and professional development.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of learners, plan assessment schedules, and create tailored learning strategies.
  • Participate in assessment and quality control processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and fostering continuous enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the engineering field, particularly within the utilities sector.
  • Previous experience working with youth and apprenticeship programs.
  • A minimum Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Possession of an Assessor's award such as V1, TAQA, or an equivalent certification.
  • A teaching qualification is preferred.
