We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Consultant to join a prominent retrofit organization based in London, contributing to their expanding team.
This role will involve working on external wall and cladding initiatives across the UK, collaborating with a variety of significant clients.
Our client is recognized as a leading firm in the industry, welcoming applications from Fire Safety Consultants at all experience levels, including those who are Chartered.
The successful candidate will support the highly proficient surveying team in preparing client reports that assess the overall safety of properties, particularly after identifying the materials used in internal and external walls.
The ideal Fire Safety Consultant will possess confidence and expertise in evaluating and suggesting modifications to fire strategies and interim measures based on thorough reviews of building provisions and fire risk assessments.
This opportunity is perfect for an experienced professional seeking a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on a variety of large-scale projects
- Ensure quality assurance in the installation of fire stopping and cladding
- Conduct on-site inspections
- Draft Fire Strategy Reports
- Engage in report writing
- Review technical and regulatory matters related to cladding, surveys, and high/mid-rise projects
- Assist in detailing compliant remediation solutions for high/mid-rise and cladding projects
- Develop and produce Fire Strategies for both new and existing clients
- Perform periodic inspections of sites and buildings
- Compile fire engineering reports
- Conduct site visits
Position Requirements:
- Experience in Fire Engineering
- Understanding of the design and construction process
- Relevant degree in Engineering
- Aiming to work towards or already a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers
- Strong knowledge of UK legislation and design guidelines
- Able to work collaboratively as well as independently
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range (£70,000 - £120,000 depending on experience)
