ABOUT YOU

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will conduct evaluations of electrical safety for a diverse range of clients globally. Collaborating closely with clients, you will assess their products and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant test standards. This role will also require you to engage with various departments within the organization, offering technical support to operations, sales, and marketing teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:
  • Formal qualifications or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Proficient IT skills, including experience with Excel, Word, and data management systems
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex standards
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members
Desirable:
  • Experience in product safety testing, grid code, inverters, EV charging, BESS, or energy sectors
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards such as IEC/EN 50549, UL 1741 SA, IEEE 1547, 60335, 62368, or 60730
  • Knowledge of certification schemes
  • Experience in generating test reports for clients and certification purposes
  • Proficiency with data acquisition tools, AC/DC simulators, RLC load banks, and communication interfaces
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance on testing procedures and standards
  • Prepare project and product quotations
  • Research and stay updated on new standards, technologies, and trends
  • Assist with accreditation activities, including audits and corrective actions
  • Manage assigned tasks in accordance with company guidelines
  • Evaluate technical documentation against standard requirements
  • Set up and operate Equipment Under Test (EUT); perform basic repairs as necessary
  • Conduct product testing in line with established standards
  • Complete preliminary design reviews both on-site and remotely
  • Develop and adhere to established testing plans
  • Provide updates on project status to clients and management
  • Offer technical support during internal and external audits
  • Ensure evaluations are conducted to standard and within designated timelines
  • Participate in client calls and meetings
