Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and that downtime is minimized.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve maintenance-related issues in a timely and efficient manner, using root cause analysis techniques to identify and address the root cause of the problem.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and that equipment is properly maintained to support production needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular maintenance reports and analysis to management, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Education and Experience: A recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (preferably FMCG) and a minimum of HNC level is required. Experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is essential.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical fault-finding techniques, electrical and mechanical machine drawings, and scales. Basic knowledge of CI procedures and techniques, LEAN techniques, and GMP/GHP is required.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
