Community Support Coordinator - Integrated Offender Management

Role Overview:

In this essential position, you will lead a mentoring initiative, guiding individuals as they reintegrate into society. Your key duties will encompass:

  • Volunteer Oversight: Attracting, training, and managing a committed group of volunteers to deliver mentorship. Design comprehensive volunteer training and onboarding processes. Evaluate volunteer performance and provide continuous support and mentorship.
  • Client Support Management: Crafting and executing tailored support strategies for clients, ensuring their requirements are fulfilled and progress is monitored. Conduct routine assessments to evaluate advancements and modify support strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborative Networking: Partnering with probation services, other charitable organizations, and pertinent agencies to establish a supportive framework for clients. Build and sustain strong relationships with key partners.
  • Program Assessment: Evaluate the success of the mentoring initiative by gathering and interpreting data. Identify opportunities for enhancement and implement modifications to improve program results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attract, train, and manage a team of volunteer mentors
  • Design and implement customized support strategies for clients
  • Establish and nurture strong connections with external partners
  • Gather and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to both mentors and clients
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in mentoring or coaching
  • Understanding of the criminal justice system
  • Experience in volunteer management
  • Strong skills in case management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively
