Role Overview: The Financial Administrator will be responsible for managing financial transactions within a legal environment. This position involves meticulous handling of both client and organizational accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough reconciliations of client and organizational bank accounts.
- Processing and recording client and organizational receipts and payments, primarily through electronic systems.
- Overseeing bank reconciliations and addressing any outdated cheques.
- Monitoring the banking system for all electronic transactions throughout the day (including CHAPS, BACs, and FPC).
- Identifying, allocating, and posting incoming electronic and manual receipts.
- Facilitating credit and debit card transactions.
- Managing petty cash transactions and ensuring accurate reconciliation.
- Performing additional general and administrative tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the accounts department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a legal firm.
- Current knowledge of solicitor's accounts regulations.
- Willingness to work in an office setting initially, with the possibility of remote work after a successful probation period.
