We are seeking a highly skilled Group Bookkeeper to join our team at Grafters Recruitment Consultants Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a key role in managing the financial records and transactions across multiple companies within our group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple companies within our group structure.
- Processing credit card transactions and reconciling statements regularly.
- Accurately processing and recording all supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Resolving discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.
- Preparing and processing supplier and subcontractor payments in a timely manner.
- Reconciling supplier and subcontractor statements and managing queries.
- Monitoring and managing intercompany transactions and balances.
- Preparing weekly rent reconciliations and transfers for multiple landlords under our group.
- Overseeing the timely payment of utilities for rental void periods and new build properties before occupation.
- Ensuring subcontractor insurance compliance and verifying subcontractors for CIS.
- Monitoring direct debits and renegotiating overhead cost contracts (e.g., utilities, phone services).
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and providing support to the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, ideally within a multi-company or group structure.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes, with the ability to manage complex intercompany transactions.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and MS Office.
