Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Lounge Operations Supervisor is to effectively assist the Lounge Manager in overseeing daily operations. This role focuses on optimizing operational expenses while maintaining high service standards. The supervisor will ensure the lounge operates seamlessly, with tasks delegated to team members, training provided, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Engaging with guests and monitoring the lounge environment are key components of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lounge Manager in various tasks, including:
  • Participating in management meetings to ensure compliance with policies regarding food and beverage stock management, enhancing sales at the bar and reception, and analyzing market trends to elevate guest experiences.
  • Supervise the Reception, Front of House, Cleaning, Maintenance, and Goods Receiving teams to ensure efficient lounge operations.
  • Manage payment processes, including credit cards and cash transactions, ensuring all financial procedures are followed.
  • Oversee lounge access and service queues, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to guarantee efficient food and beverage service.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, guest service, cleanliness, and hygiene to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively address potential issues for guests requiring special assistance.
  • Uphold personal grooming and hygiene standards in line with company policies.
  • Assist in training new team members and ensure they understand operational standards.
  • Monitor upselling initiatives and provide necessary training to team members.
  • Perform all functions of the Guest Services Officer role, including closing procedures.
  • Welcome and assist guests at the reception and bar, ensuring a friendly atmosphere.
  • Conduct regular inspections of lounge areas, including shower facilities, to ensure cleanliness and availability of services.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of lounge supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs, as well as waste management and pest control services.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and follow up on their completion.
  • Maintain knowledge of airport facilities, flight schedules, and directions.
  • Handle administrative duties, monitor staff attendance, and assist with payroll and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety training requirements.
  • Keep track of lost and found items and maintain the First Aid Kit and incident logbook.
  • Conduct regular team briefings and appraisals to enhance performance.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are current and followed.
  • Manage employee relations and assist with recruitment processes.
  • Continuously seek innovative methods to enhance lounge operations.
  • Work flexible hours as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications / Essential Skills:

  • Previous supervisory experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary and food & beverage operations.
  • Experience in managing opening and closing shifts.
  • Ambition to advance within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and motivate others.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Effective delegation and leadership skills.
