Job Title: Established Buyer - Seasonal FMCG

The Company

Quest Search and Selection Ltd is proud to partner with a global multi-brand business that has been established for over 100 years, with over 200 stores globally and growing.

The Role

This Established Buyer role involves utilizing data and having an understanding of brands to create new ranges, appropriate pricing, and sales-boosting strategies to deliver profitable ranges and drive year-on-year growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and develop profitable new ranges for upcoming seasons
  • Work with leading suppliers such as Nestle, Mars, and Kellogg's
  • Lead and develop innovative range marketing plans around the categories
  • Keep abreast of international market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities
  • Hold accountability for revenue, sales, margin, and promotional income
  • Responsible for one AB level
  • Use data and upcoming trends to generate new ideas on how to grow YOY sales, margin to deliver an effective category plan
  • Conduct range reviews and undertake continuous improvement of the product offer through effective range analysis
  • Manage performance of products within budget

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience within Buying
  • Experienced Buyer or Junior Buyer with a background in buying branded product ranges within food/FMCG or another fast-moving category
  • Desirable experience in Snacking, Gifting Food, Impulse, Seasonal, Biscuits, or Confectionary
  • Lead and develop innovative range marketing plans to suit specific markets
  • A head for figures, as this area is data-driven
  • Expertise in revenue, sales, margin, and promotional income
