The University of Bristol is seeking a highly organized and experienced Catering Logistics Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our catering operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of food and drink services across our 4 catered halls of residence, 9 cafes, 3 bars, food court, pop-ups, and various events.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory of catering assets and stock, ensuring accurate records and efficient stock rotation.
- Deliver food and drink from one location to another, supporting the set up and running of events or pop-ups.
- Collaborate with catering managers, supervisors, chefs, and support teams to ensure all outlets are stocked and set up sufficiently to provide excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics and supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, delivery, or stockkeeping, preferably in a hospitality or catering environment.
- Valid driving license with 2 years of driving experience.
- Highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
- Ability to lift and load heavy items, with a good degree of physical fitness.
