Senior Water Resources and Drought Consultant

Our client, a leading Water Consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources and Drought Consultant to join their team in Exeter.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in Water Supply, Water Resource Assessments, Water Resource Planning, and Drought Response Plans. You will also have experience in drought management and drought response plans, as well as a valid driving license to travel to sites and the office.

As a Senior Water Resources and Drought Consultant, you will have the opportunity to manage a team, mentor team members, manage projects, and complete and check varied Water Resources, Water Quality, Pollution, and Drought Plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Water Resource and Drought Planning and implementation of strategies ensuring compliance.
  2. Drought management and drought response plans.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of drought management strategies.
  4. Assess and monitor performance of water resource management plans.
  5. Lead implementation of drought plans and monitor performance.
  6. Conduct audits and annual reviews of strategies.
  7. Ensure water resource planning is aligned with catchment and water network strategies.
  8. Conduct Water Supply Risk Assessments.
  9. Develop relationships with stakeholders and external organisations.
  10. Produce bids, tenders, and compelling business cases.
  11. Conduct site visits across the local area.
