About the Role:

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Engineer/Transport Planner to join our team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our Development Management Implementation (DMI) Team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in highway design and transport planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of schemes for public sector clients and developers, utilizing your expertise in highway design and transport planning.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to develop and implement effective solutions for complex transport and highway-related projects.
  • Prepare and review Transport Assessments and other transport-related documents, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide pre-application advice to developers on transport and highway matters, utilizing your knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the DMI Team to deliver high-quality projects on time, while maintaining excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in highway design and transport planning, with a strong understanding of relevant policies and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a HNC/HND/Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g., civil engineering, transport planning).
