Job Summary

The post is a 12-month fixed-term position, created to cover a permanent staff member on secondment. The post holder will be working as a member of the multidisciplinary health team in Brent, providing high standards of clinical assessment and intervention relevant to their specialist area.

Main Duties
  • Provide appropriate support and contact for service users, taking into account their health, social, and cultural needs, through thorough assessment and planning of the client's health needs.
  • Ensure that clients are consulted about their care at all times and are involved in decision-making concerning their care.
  • Carry out risk assessments for clients in line with the Trust and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain innovative and creative ways of working with clients who are difficult to engage.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and students.
  • Ensure that accurate clinical notes are kept and audited to ensure compliance with records-keeping standards of the Trust and LD Service.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that clinical practices are in keeping with relevant legislations and policies, and follow best practice guidelines.
