Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff to achieve productivity and service level targets.
  • Health, Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that all health, safety and hygiene procedures are followed and that the warehouse is maintained in a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communication: Deliver regular communication briefings to the team to ensure that they are aware of all company and local issues.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods.
  • Training and Development: Develop all team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse and implement succession planning.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations in line with company procedure.
  • Sickness Absence and Time and Attendance: Monitor and control sickness absence levels and time and attendance systems.
  • Overtime and Agency Workers: Ensure that the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers are used to efficiently and cost-effectively run the shift.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Monitor and control training for teams to ensure that the correct amount of health and safety representation is on shift.
Requirements
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in the use of computer systems, including Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information to the team.
  • Adaptability and Methodical Approach: Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training and working hours.
