About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Assistant to join our team at Leeds City Council. As an IT Support Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our staff, customers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support to staff across the council, our customers, and partners
  • Receive and log all IT queries, prioritizing requests and incidents reported
  • Escalate queries that require further attention
  • Develop an understanding of troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Provide face-to-face IT support
  • Support the work of Local Government and NHS organizations
  • Participate in meetings and contribute ideas and solutions
  • Meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
Requirements
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify problems and take initiative in finding solutions
  • Genuine interest in IT with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Flexibility to work on a rota pattern between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM
