About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Agent to join our team at Kier Group. As a Site Agent, you will play a crucial role in the supervision of site activities and workforce on capital projects within the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of subcontractors to deliver work safely without environmental incidents and to the specified quality.
  • Ensure implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP's, and approval of supply chain RAMS, plus other Safe Systems of Work, in line with Company procedures.
  • Input and awareness of construction programme and working alongside the project planner and Project Manager.
  • Delivery of site inductions, issuing of permits/forms, and daily briefings (including toolbox talks) and record keeping diaries and quality records.
  • Undertake weekly site audits and documenting and issuing RFI's in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Chair site meetings and report weekly to the project manager on site progress.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the construction industry.
  • Substantial knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control, including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
  • Good knowledge in producing, reviewing, and implementing Safe Systems of Work for task-specific activities.
  • CSCS Card.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience within the water industry or another process-oriented industry with a civils background and knowledge of MEICA.
  • Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control, including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
  • Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering.
  • Experience managing subcontractors with a value greater than £1m.
  • Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
