About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Director to join our team at GSK. As a key member of our Pharmacovigilance and Benefit-Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of our global assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scientific Expertise: Provide scientific expertise in the safety evaluation and risk management of key GSK assets in clinical development and/or the post-marketing setting.
  • Data Review and Interpretation: Ensure scientifically sound review and interpretation of data and management of safety issues.
  • Safety Governance: Escalate safety issues identified through the safety review process to senior management and safety governance as appropriate.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective safety evaluation and risk management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international pharmacovigilance requirements and drug development and approval processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Health Sciences/Health Care Professional degree required (e.g., BSc, MS, PhD, RN/BSN/MSN, NP, RPh/B Pharm/Pharm D).
  • Experience: Substantial experience in pharmacovigilance or drug development, with a focus on safety evaluation and risk management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of international pharmacovigilance requirements, drug development and approval processes, and IT competencies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Global Experience: Experience working globally in pharmacovigilance or drug development.
  • Matrix Organization: Experience working in large matrix organizations.
  • IT Competencies: Strong IT competencies, including proficiency in relevant software and systems.
