As a key member of the Langland team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the scientific and medical capabilities of our advertising team. This leadership position requires a strong scientific background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire a team to deliver high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a best-in-class scientific/medical capability for the advertising team, ensuring a deep understanding of therapeutic areas and the ability to translate scientific knowledge into compelling narratives.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors to provide strategic guidance on medical copywriting, ensuring that scientific knowledge is effectively integrated into creative execution.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between scientific, creative, digital, and strategic teams to deliver cohesive client projects.
- Develop and communicate strategically aligned scientific narratives that drive the development of award-winning creative work.
- Provide critical review of creative materials, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy and quality.
- Lead scientific pitch research and presentation, focusing on complex narratives and programs, and the scientific/medical pull-through into creative execution.
- Offer expert counsel and recommendations to clients, navigating medical review of creative work and developing brand/account plans.
- Maintain high-profile visibility within the agency as a scientific and creative expert across multiple therapy areas.
- Develop therapy area and/or brand scientific strategy in collaboration with the Scientific Strategy Team.
- Initiate and lead internal/external workshops to solve complex scientific problems and foster strategic alignment.
Qualifications
You are an established scientific and creative leader with extensive heritage in medical communications and advertising. You have a proven track record of leveraging scientific knowledge into creative execution, driving innovation in problem-solving, and mastering knowledge of therapeutic areas. You can confidently produce strategically aligned, compelling scientific narratives and lead a team to deliver the same. Your ability to develop influential networks and relationships is essential for success in this role.
