The Edge Selection is seeking to enhance its team with two Fleet Operations Managers who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational engineering aspects of a premier fleet of trains dedicated to the UK rail sector. This position demands a thorough understanding of fleet asset management to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill the engineering commitments and responsibilities of the organization in all operational interactions.
  • Act as the engineering representative in technical discussions and key stakeholder meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations team to guarantee peak operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Lead initiatives regarding fleet asset condition, conducting and reporting on Asset Inspections to senior management.
  • Ensure timely technical decision-making regarding fleet operations, coordinating with colleagues to address identified impacts.
  • Provide insights on risks, opportunities, and commercial implications stemming from technical changes or advancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
  • Preferred background in the railway, train maintenance, rail operations, or aerospace sectors.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members and a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach, capable of working independently.
  • A passion for driving business and performance enhancements.
  • Familiarity with UK railway regulations is advantageous.
